On the final day of the festival, we see a host of incredible acts across all the stages for a great conclusion to the weekend.

The final day of Download will give fans the last chance to rock out and see some of their favourite bands before the festival come to a close. The last day sees Scottish rockers Biffy Clyro headlining the Apex Stage for the second time. As well as this, there are tons of bands playing across the day to get excited over.

1. Wargasm

Stage: Apex Stage

Time: 11:00

For Fans Of: Limp Bizkit, Slipknot, Nova Twins

Right, before we start yes that is the name of the band. Stay with me here. Wargasm formed in 2019 after musician Sam Matlock and model Milkie Way met at a gig in Camden. they navigated their first years as a band going into the unknown with lockdowns which made it hard for new and independent bands to gain traction. Wargasm took every opportunity they had in this period with virtual sets for Download and Pulse Of The Maggots Festival and releasing game-changing singles such as 'Spit'. Once the restrictions eased, Wargasm hit the road on a tour which would see them play Reading and Leeds, Bloodstock and go on a US tour with their heroes Limp Bizkit. It has been insane to watch this band get a bigger and bigger following and they have rightfully earned their place on the Apex stage. When you see the Download booker Andy Copping predicting this band to one day headline the festival, you know this is a band you can't miss.

2. Alestorm

Stage: Apex Stage

Time: 1:45

For Fans Of: Dragonforce, Sabaton, Powerwolf

From one crazy band to the next. Alestorm pride themselves on their heavy metal sound and their pirate themes which are the main parts of their songs. From being shipwrecked in the search for cheap booze to sailing over to Mexico, the band is limitless with their storytelling and their jokes which are littered throughout their songs. It makes them a band which stands out on the lineup and will be a great time on the Apex Stage. Expect a wild show when these heavy metal pirates take to the stage.

3. Spiritbox

Stage: The Avalanche Stage

Time: 4:50

For Fans Of: Evanescence, Architects, Bring Me The Horizon

This next band are quite possibly the main reason I got a ticket for this festival. Another one of Andy Copping's bands which could headline Download in years to come, Spirtbox have had huge success over the last few years, especially with the release of their album 'Eternal Blue' and their recent performance at Bring Me The Horizon and Friends in Malta which has seen them move further up the line up the Download lineup just like As Everything Unfolds. The band are going to play three gigs in the UK this year with Download being one of them shows so if you are really wanting to see this band in action then you need to be at The Avalanche Stage on Sunday.

4. Korn

Stage: Apex Stage

Time: 6:30

For Fans Of: Slipknot, Rob Zombie, Limp Bizkit

Despite all the highs and lows in their nearly 30-year career, Korn are one of the bigger players in the nu-metal scene. The band will be on the Apex stage and will deliver some of their greatest hits such as 'Falling Away From Me' and 'Freak On a Leash' and their new tracks of their latest album such as 'Worst Is On Its Way' and 'Start The Healing'. The band have released some great albums over the last few years which show they are not slowing down anytime soon. It's been a long time since this band has come to Download so this set will be something special.

5. Yonaka

Stage: The Dogtooth Stage

Time: 8:10

For Fans Of : Dead Poet Society, The Amazons, Nova Twins

This Brighton band are probably not the heaviest band on the lineup but they are for sure one of the best live band playing on this day. The band led by the incredibly talented Theresa Javis, have been on a great journey which has seen them play all around the world, charting in the UK album charts and touring with the likes of Frank Carter And The Rattlesnakes and Evanescence. I've been a fan of this band since 2017 and it's been incredible to see them get their music on films such as 'Hobs and Shaw' and grow in confidence which has seen them tour at the start of this year and has to be some of their best performances of their career. They are the perfect band to get you warmed up before Biffy Clyro takes to the Apex stage.
